Joseph Drouhin Musigny 2002 is a full-bodied Burgundy red wine from the Grand Cru climat of Musigny in the Chambolle-Musigny commune of the Côte de Nuits. An owner of domaines including Domaine Marquis de Laguiche and the monopole of Clos des Mouches, as well as operating a hugely successful negociant business, the family-owned Drouhin is justly respected for producing such a diverse portfolio of Burgundy wines with such a clear signature of their terroir. On the 2002 Musigny. "The 2002 Musigny Grand Cru is slightly paler than the 2007. It has an exquisite nose of pressed rose petals plus hints of clove and sous-bois. The palate is beautifully balanced, presenting a mélange of red and black fruit and traces of tobacco, and becoming fleshier and grippier toward the finish. Maybe not a showstopper like the 1999, but a really gorgeous wine." Neal Martin, 2020
