With headquarters in Meursault, Domaine Leroy was formed in 1988 when Lalou Bize-Leroy acquired the estate of Charles Noëllat in Vosne-Romanée and subsequently Philippe-Rémy’s property in Gevrey-Chambertin. Today, Domaine Leroy owns approximately 23 hectares, including impressive holdings in nine Grands Crus and eight Premier Crus. This particular Grand Cru comes from Musigny, where Leroy owns 4 plots, some of them acquired from the Moine-Hudelot family in 1990. The 1997 vintage is in a great place now, revealing pure red berry fruit with superb weightless intensity that glides over silky tannins.
