Mullineux is a highly focused family winery based near the village of Riebeek Kasteel, in the Swartland region of South Africa. The 2019 growing season was very dry and yields were well below normal, resulting in wines with incredible texture, depth and concentration. The granite soils retain some moisture deep down, and the vines use this to retain a freshness to balance the texture. The palate of the Granite Chenin is tight, long, and flinty with notes of citrus blossom, quince and fennel. Ageing potential 10 – 20 years.
