Owned by Maison Louis Jadot since 1996, Château des Jacques is a well-established Beaujolais estate based in the Moulin-à-Vent appellation. Its vineyard area covers 88 hectares of planted vines spread throughout several Beaujolais crus, including Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Fleurie and Chénas. The grapes are destemmed and crushed before fermentation and the wine is aged in oak barrel to develop further complexity and structure. This release is the 1988 vintage of their flagship Moulin-à-Vent, presented here in a 6-litre bottle.
