Coteaux du Layon is a tiny appellation in the Loire Valley famous for sweet wines made from Chenin Blanc. Typically, the wines of Moulin Touchais all contain between 70 and 80 grams of residual sugar and, like many other Loire Valley sweet wines, they only really come into their own after two decades in bottle. 1997 is one of the finest vintages of the decade and exudes exotic richness, superb texture and delicious flecks of botrytised character.
