Moric Alte Reben Lutzmannsburg Blaufrankisch 2013

Weingut Moric is one of Austria’s finest wineries and is perhaps the greatest producer of Blaufränkisch in the country. 2013 was generally regarded as an exceptional vintage and this is a rather remarkable single vineyard release from vines that are 80 to 110 years old. It is incredibly deep in colour, with remarkably concentrated and complex aromas of wild berries, juniper, herbs and crushed stones. The palate is utterly captivating, with immense depth of fruit and wonderful floral, herbal and mineral nuances. Multi-layered, pure and long, this is a benchmark for the region and the variety.
