Montus Cuvee Prestige 1992

In 1980, Alain Brumont purchased Château Montus to develop a wine from Madiran based exclusively on the local variety, Tannat. A true pioneer in the appellation, he has elevated the level of the wines of Madiran to rank alongside some of the great wines of France. Prestige is made from a selection of the vineyard’s finest terroirs and is Montus’ ultimate expression of Tannat. It is a rich, opulent and full-bodied style of wine with a great capacity to age. Now fully mature, the 1992 exudes wonderful notes of cassis, prune, cedar, leather, smoke and cigars.
