Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum 2002

Situated in Calistoga, Chateau Montelena holds a distinguished status as one of the pioneering estates for fine Napa Cabernet, established in 1972. Under the guidance of owner Jim Barrett and winemaker Mike Grgich, the first Chateau Montelena wines marked a pivotal moment in California Cabernet history. The 2002 is still singing beautifully with more plum notes and an elegance that straddles between Bordeaux and Napa. The wine can easily be cellared for another 10 years but drinking nice now with minimal decant.
