From illustrious Rioja stalwart, Ramon Bilbao, comes the premium cuvée, Mirto. A sleek and modern expression of Tempranillo from selected old vines in Haro, Villaba and San Vicente, aged in French oak barriques for 28 months. Dark cherry and cassis fruit on the nose, with subtle undertones of spices and graphite minerality. With a good amount of bottle age, the tannins are almost completely resolved and intriguing secondary flavours are emerging. Try with slow-braised meat dishes.
