Mauro VS 600cl 2014

Bodegas Mauro is a premium winery established in 1978 in the province of Valladolid, in the Ribera del Duero region. VS is a reserva style bottling of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) sourced from two vineyards, one in Traspinedo of around 70 years of age, and a younger site in Tudela de Duero. It is matured in French and American barriques for 26 months and the resulting wine is powerful, dense and lengthy, with an immense core of concentrated black fruits, subtle herbal nuances and complex savoury depth. For all its power and structure, it exudes admirable freshness and elegance, making it a naturally excellent food-pairing wine.
