Masseto 2016 opens with a deep, dark nose, concentrated, but also very approachable. Aromas of blackberries, mulberries and black cherries, against a background of spicebushes. The wine is multi-layered, with fine-meshed tannins, compact and juicy, complemented with sweet tobacco. The acidity is vibrant and refined. Best from 2022 through 2045.
