Margaux Half 2019

World-renowned Château Margaux was one of four wines to achieve premier cru status in the original Bordeaux Classification of 1855. It has been owned by the Mentzelopoulos family since 1978 and consistently produced some of the elegant wines in the Médoc. The highly praised 2019 vintage is a blend of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot, aged in 100% new oak. Deep purple in colour, the wine reveals intense notes of blackcurrants, dark cherries, blueberry compote and hints of tobacco and vanilla from the oak. It received 100 points by several high-profile critics including Jane Anson, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW and James Suckling.
