Since the 17th century, Château Margaux’s Grand Vin has been recognised as being one of the greatest wines that France has ever produced. Owned by the Mentzelopoulos family since 1978, the estate is currently looked after by Sébastien Vergne, appointed in 2016. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this 1986 vintage is full and rich on the palate, with plenty of concentration and remarkable minerality. Presented here in a magnificent 6-litre bottle, the wine still has enormous ageing potential.
