Marcassin Three Sisters Pinot Noir 2003 is a full-bodied single-vineyard red wine produced from Pinot Noir grapes on the Sonoma Coast of California. Founded in 1991, Marcassin (French for ‘young wild boar’) is a small winery that focuses solely on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Having worked or consulted for some of California`s finest wineries (eg, Peter Michael, Colgin and Bryant), the talented owner/winemaker, Helen Turley, is one of the most influential figures in Californian wine. "The 2003 Pinot Noir Three Sisters Vineyard shows sweet blueberry, raspberry, cherry, smoky, gamy, and autumnal/forest vegetation-like notes. With superb fruit, full body, admirable richness and acidity, and a fleshy, long mouthfeel, this stunning Pinot is just becoming approachable and drinkable. It should last for 10-15 years." Wine Advocate, 2007
