Having either worked or consulted for some of the region’s finest wineries (e.g Peter Michael, Colgin and Bryant), the supremely talented winemaker, Helen Turley, is undoubtedly one of the most influential figures in Californian wine. She her established her own label, Marcassin (French for ‘young wild boar’, in 1991

Three Sisters Chardonnay is a cuvée no longer made by Turley as the fruit is now used by Martinelli Vineyards. This is an incredibly small production wine of just several hundred cases and has a superb reputation for its innate complexity and ageworthiness. Robert Parker described the 2002 as being “full-bodied, extraordinarily dense, rich” with an “impeccably detailed personality.”
