Macallan’s Fine and Rare Series was first launched in 2002, designed to represent the very best vintages and expressions that Macallan had to offer, dating back as far as 1926. This particular single malt was distilled in 1964 and bottled 37 years later in 2002, from a single first-fill American oak sherry cask #3312. On the nose, huge fresh smouldering peats with apples, citrus and floral notes. The palate carries rich peaty phenols and wood smoke, with hints of fruits.
