Since 1995, superstar boutique producer, Lokoya, has produced an exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon from the steep, mountainous Veeder Peak estate vineyard which sits at 1,800ft in elevation. This is a stratospherically good wine that eclipses many efforts from a complicated vintage. It is full-bodied, ripe and sumptuously textured, with effortlessly elegant notes of cassis, mocha, earth and pencil shavings. Perhaps easier to consume from an earlier age, there is still plenty of structure to ensure graceful progression over the next 10 years.
