This luxurious 40-year-old Speyside single malt was laid to rest at the Linkwood distillery in September 1980 and bottled for the Private Collection series from Gordon & MacPhail in October 2020. Rich vanilla and fresh apple aromas emerge from the glass, combined with notes of polished leather and oak. The palate brings out sweet flavours of orange marmalade, dried mango and underlying passionfruit. Chilli spice and toasted oak are complemented by aniseed.
