Located within the commune of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is the world-famous wine producer that needs no introduction. Since 1942, the estate is co-owned by two families, the de Villaine and the Leroy, with Alexandre Bernier in place as cellar master following the retirement of Bernard Noblet in 2018. DRC has the monopole of two grand cru vineyards, the eponymous Romanée-Conti and La Tâche, which covers 6.06 hectares of old vines. These wines are considered to be some of the finest expressions of Pinot Noir and are highly sought-after. This release is from the 2008 vintage, available here in this spectacular magnum bottle. The nose reveals light florals, black tea, earth and orange oil. On the palate, the silky texture is combined with minerally acidity. Lovely proportion and balance.
