La Tache DRC Magnum 1998

With a rich heritage that goes back to the 16th century, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is one of those producers that need no introduction. An iconic estate, jointly owned by the de Villaine and Leroy families, with Alexandre Bernier as cellar master since 2018. La Tâche is one of their two monopoles, whose wines are regarded as some of the best expressions of Pinot Noir. This is a rare magnum bottle of the 1998 vintage, a very good year for Burgundy despite a difficult growing season. Expect some sweet smoke, red fruits, sour cherries, stems, Asian spices and mint. The palate is very precise and polished.
