Following up from the immense 2015 release, the 2016 La Mission-Haut-Brion Blanc is somewhat less flamboyant but no less impressive. It unusually contains more Sauvignon Blanc (62.7%) with a lesser proportion of Semillon (37.3%) and exhibits subtle, but delicious, notes of mandarin, grapefruit, peach and crushed rock minerality. It is vibrant and layered, with a fine thread of acidity and a long, lingering finish.
