Produced from the younger vines of the Sociando-Mallet property, from plots that are favourable to the production of very good Merlot. An easy-drinking wine, the 2000 vintage was deemed an excellent one, with concentrated fruit and toasty, liquorice complexity. An ideal match for grilled meat and fish or shellfish dishes.
