This is a lovely medium-bodied and smooth red wine produced from 100% Georgian native grape variety, Saperavi, grown in the renowned region of Kakheti. All fruit was hand-harvested and rigorously sorted before de-stemming and fermentation in open 225-litre barriques. After a 20-day maceration, the wine was racked to oak barriques to complete malolactic fermentation and maturation for 12 months. It is classically dark-fruited and spicy, with subtle hints of liquorice and smoke.
