This is a 1981 vintage single malt from the iconic Karuizawa distillery, which was bottled in 2011 at a strength of 56.6% ABV. The nose offers kirsch syrup, Port-like raisins, dark cherry bonbons and hints of rubber. On the palate, this is a dry malt with bitter tannins and chalky notes at first, followed by elements of mint and liquorice.
