Distilled and bottled in Japan, the Karuizawa 1970 42-year-old single cask 6177 was matured for over 4 decades in an ex-sherry cask, from 1970 to 2012. Rich with fruity, sherry sweetness and bold spices, the whisky was bottled at cask strength of 64.3% ABV, giving it a bold flavour profile. Karuizawa was once located at the foot of Mount Asama and produced legendary ranges of whisky that are available in very limited quantities today.
