The second in a trio of excellent vintages in Champagne, 1989’s harvest is always remembered for its large crop of very ripe and healthy grapes. Champagnes from this historical year are rich, luscious and soft, and benefit from extended cellaring. This classic cuvée from the family-run champagne producer Joseph Perrier is a point in case. Surprisingly youthful and round, with all the hallmarks of a high-quality mature champagne.
