John Duval is one of Australia’s most experienced and celebrated winemakers, having made Penfolds Grange for many years. Plexus was the first wine Duval created under his own label and, from 2017, it is a gorgeous blend of 51% Shiraz, 32% Grenache and 17% Mourvedre, sourced from old vineyards in the Krondorf, Ebenezer, Tanunda and Light Pass districts of the Barossa Valley. This is a vibrant, juicy and supple wine, offering up lovely notes of red and black berries, dried herbs, exotic spices and savoury earthiness.
