The now closed Hanyu distillery received a new lease of life from Ichiro Akuto, who bottled the last of the stock in the highly collectible card range. This precious Japanese whisky was distilled in 1985 and bottled in 2009, after being aged in a hogshead and finished in a Bourbon barrel. A punchy and complex dram that exudes notes of dried fruits, dark chocolate and oak.
