Hermitage Yann Chave 2018

Domaine Yann Chave is a relative newcomer to the historic region of Hermitage, having been founded in 1970. For many years they sold their grapes to negociants and cooperatives but in 1983 they began to slowly build their own winery and cellars with their eventual inaugural release in 1996. Their Hermitage Rouge comes from vines planted in the lieux-dits of Beaumes and Péleat, with many vines next door to the famous vineyard of Le Méal. The 2018 vibrant and bright, offering delightful notes of red and black berry fruits, spices and earth. Full-bodied and silky, this a classic example of Hermitage from an excellent vintage.
