The Hermitage La Chapelle is crafted from Syrah sourced from the stoniest portions of the Méal, Bessard, Rocoules, and Greffieux parcels, where vines are aged between 40 and 100 years. The 1990 vintage retains its power, with firm tannins, complemented by tertiary nuances of leather and a hint of tobacco box. Jammy black fruits dominate the fruit profile. The acidity, mellowed by time, contributes to a beautifully rounded overall palate.
