Henschke is one of the most revered family names in Australian winemaking and the Hill of Grace Shiraz is their flagship wine produced from a single 4-hectare vineyard planted in the 1860s in the Eden Valley.
2006 was widely heralded as an exceptional vintage and this release is now in its prime drinking window. Deep garnet-purple in colour, it is laden with wonderful scents of warm black and blue fruits, woody spices and the classical hint of sage that is ever-present in this wine. Medium- to full-bodied, rich and silky smooth, it cascades effortlessly across the palate, culminating in an incredibly long, elegant and herb-laced finish.
