Heimbourg Tokay Pinot Gris Vendange Tardive Zind Humbrecht 1990

Domaine Zind-Humbrecht, one of the most recognisable names in French wine and greatest exponents of biodynamics in Alsace, has a number of parcels across the varied terroirs of Alsace. The domaine is renowned for expressing the complexity of the region through its single vineyard bottlings. `Vendages Tardives` denotes grapes that have been late harvested, usually several weeks after the official starting date for the harvest, and will be much higher in sugar and ripeness. The wines are always sweet and sometimes will contain some fruit affected by botrytis.

The 1990 late harvest wines were renowned for their aromatic and flavour intensity. This was produced in limited quantities and is a powerhouse of a wine with a nectar-like quality and immense concentration.
