Hartford Family Winery was founded in 1994 in the Sonoma County town of Forestville, which is around 15 miles from the cool Pacific Coast. They specialise in single vineyard cuvées of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel from low-yielding vines that deliver expressive and personality-rich wines.
Planted in 1996, the organically farmed Fog Dance Vineyard is located in the rolling hills of the Green Valley in the Russian River Valley AVA. Yielding just a few hundred cases per vintage, this is an incredibly small-production wine which really reflects the cool Green Valley terroir, showing bright fresh fruits with a refined, mineral-driven texture.
