Gusbourne is one of the leading sparkling wine brands in the UK, driven by the vision to produce the finest vintage wines exclusively from its own vineyard fruit. The 2019 Blanc de Noirs, made entirely from Pinot Noir, underwent a minimum of 31 months of lees ageing. Expect red berry fruit notes, followed by hints of citrus zest, violets, and freshly baked cinnamon pastries.
The 2019 Brut Blanc de Noirs, a blend of 75% Pinot Noir, 14% Chardonnay and 11% Pinot Meunier (labeled Blanc de Noirs despite the Chardonnay addition), features fruit sourced from West Sussex and Kent. It underwent fermentation partly in oak but mostly in stainless steel, followed by 31 months on lees. Lemon and tart red apple open up on the nose with bright freshness. The body is slightly rounded and brisk, with fine bubbles en route to creaminess. Lively, tart red apple freshness defines the palate and finish. Disgorged: July 2024.
