Alsace, France
Founded in 1639 in the village of Riquewihr, the Hugel family winery is one of the most prestigious in the Alsace region. Grossi Laüe signifies the finest vineyards in Alsace dialect and represents an equivalent to German Grosses Gewächs or the Burgundian Grand Cru. The Pinot Noir is made on a very small scale from vines planted in the Pflostig vineyard in 1966.

On the nose it is lively and fresh, with generous aromas of raspberry, Morello cherry, violets, woodsmoke and truffles. On the palate it is smooth, refined and harmonious, with soft tannins, delicate acidity and a long mineral finish.
