Grosset Gaia 2017

Jeffrey Grosset established his winery in 1981 in the historic township of Auburn, Clare Valley, 100 kilometres north of Adelaide. Planted by Grosset in 1986, the Gaia vineyard is a rocky, isolated, wind-swept two hectare block that sits above the rolling golden cornfields of the Clare Valley. 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Cabernet France, 2017 is Grosset`s third consecutive outstanding vintage. On the nose, brooding, almost briary, aromas of black cherry, plum and blackcurrant. Finely structured with a firm backbone and pleasing bramble flavours; well-integrated, gently gripping tannins that are long and well-balanced.
