Grillet 1990

£338.00
Château Grillet is an appellation in the Rhône Valley which is planted solely to one permitted variety, Viognier, and is occupied by a single producer who shares the same name. It has been cultivated since Roman times, was granted appellation status in 1936 and even declared a National Heritage site in 1976. The appellation, vineyard and winery were owned by the Neyret-Gachet family since 1827 but was sold to Francois Pinault of Château Latour in 2011.

The 1990 release is now fully mature and exhibits incredibly rich, honeyed notes of stone fruits, candied citrus, crushed stones and white flower blossom.
