Gres Arretxea 2017

Domaine Arretxea was created in 1989 and lies in the heart of the Basque country, in the small AOC of Irouléguy. They now own 8 hectares of organically cultivated vines planted mostly native grape varieties such as Tannat, Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng, and have also introduced biodynamic practices. Grès is a dry and aromatic white wine composed of Gros Manseng and Petit Manseng from sandstone soil vineyards that are around 20 years of age. Heavily citrus dominant, there is also delicate texture from lees ageing, with abundant refreshing acidity and a wonderful saline-mineral tension.
