Granit Blanc Paris 2018

Vincent Paris began his winery in 1997 with just 1 hectare of inherited vines in the northern Rhône sub-region of Cornas. Granit Blanc is produced there but as there is no AOC for white wines it is bottled as Vins de Pays d’Archèche. The 2018 is a blend of roughly two-thirds Viognier and one-third Roussanne from 15-year-old vines and is vinified and matured in stainless steel to preserve the natural freshness. Though wonderfully vibrant and lively, there is ample richness of fruit, with classical notes of apricot, citrus oils, honey and white flowers. Medium- to full-bodied, satin-textured and long, this is an excellent food wine, pairing particularly well with white fish.
