Burgundy, France
Based in the village of Vosne-Romanée, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is undoubtedly the most prestigious wine producer in Burgundy. The iconic estate is co-owned by the de Villaine and Leroy families, with Alexandre Bernier in place as head winemaker following the retirement of Bernard Noblet in 2018. DRC produces only grand cru wines, such as this 2001 Grands-Echézeaux, available here in a magnum bottle. The wine is beautifully scented and gently sweet, with hints of violets, spices, raspberries and a citrus edge.
