Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is a Fifth Growth estate located in Pauillac, Bordeaux. Now under the ownership of François-Xavier Borie, consistency and quality has increased notably over the last decade and the château now enjoys a reputation as a producer of excellent, yet classical, Left Bank Bordeaux.
The 2019 vintage is a blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Merlot, offering up aromas of powerful black fruits with a hint of spice and menthol, whilst retaining good freshness. Very precise and complex on the palate with wonderful aromatics and a bright fresh finish. The whole is supported by tannins which combine power and elegance.
