Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste, classified as a Fifth Growth estate, is situated in the Pauillac appellation. The vineyard, which surrounds the château itself, spans about 55 hectares in total. It is planted predominantly to Cabernet Sauvignon [75%], complemented by Merlot [20%] and Cabernet Franc [5%]. The 1966 vintage, a Bordeaux classic, produced wines known for their elegance and structure. Although they initially displayed some firmness, these wines evolved beautifully and surpassed expectations over time.
