A 1979 vintage Glenesk released by independent bottlers Gordon & MacPhail as part of their Rare Old series. The nose is complex, with aromas of yellow apples, melon, polished oak, acacia honey and a touch of pine and menthol. The palate opens to a waxy, warm mouthfeel, with hints of lemon, lime, also fudge and sultana cake. The finish is long, with woody notes.
