A lovely, aromatic dram from Glen Elgin in Speyside, bottled by under the Infrequent Flyers label.
Floral notes, marzipan, honey and soft melon leap out of the glass on first nosing - this is fruity, but also elegant and balanced. The palate is yet more honey with a touch of apple pie and custard before a long, spicy finish with good weight.
Very classic Speyside here and very classic Glen Elgin - a distillery to keep an eye on for sure!
