Founded in 1958, Domaine Mittnacht is a 23-hectare biodynamically-farmed estate based around the villages of Hunawihr and Ribeauvillé. Les Terres Blanches is made from 100% Gewurztraminer sourced from 40+ year-old vines, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in seasoned barrels.
This is a gorgeous example of ever-so-slightly off-dry Gewurztraminer, with delicious notes of exotic fruits, dried flowers, rosewater, liquorice and white pepper. It is sleek and glossy on the palate, with pinpoint acidity and a long, highly aromatic finish. This would be excellent alongside strong cheeses such as Munster, Epoisses or Stinking Bishop.
