Combe aux Moine is a premier cru of the Gevrey-Chambertin appellation in the northern Côte de Nuits wine region. The vineyard was cherished by the Benedictine monks for many centuries and famed even before the French Revolution for its bold, rich wines. The site is also one of the most elevated in Burgundy, reaching nearly 400 meters above sea level. This expression produced by Domaine Fourrier is typical of this terroir. structured and relatively rustic, showing bright red fruit alongside earthy characters.
