Gevrey Chambertin Clos St Jacques Domaine Fourrier 1991

Domaine Fourrier is a family-owned estate with a history that goes back to the 1930s. The domaine is currently run by fifth-generation Jean-Marie Fourrier who took over from his father Jean-Claude in 1994. He started his legacy by decreasing the use of oak, which was more popular at the time, and adopted a low-intervention approach to winemaking. The estate boasts some of the oldest vines in Gevrey-Chambertin and is best known for its premier cru wines, including this Clos Saint-Jacques. 1991 was overall a successful vintage which gave wines of strength, depth and remarkable ageing potential.
