Fleurie Clos du Pavillon Marrans 2015

Domaine des Marrans is run by talented winemaker Mathieu Mélinand, and represents the new and exciting side of Beaujolais. Based in the heart of Fleurie, Mélinand has gained notoriety for his minimal intervention approach and high-quality terroir-driven wines. Le Pavillon is a small 4ha monopole vineyard with old vines between 60 and 80 years of age planted on granite soils. This is a remarkably fresh and pure expression of Gamay.
