The Zuccardi Winery was founded in 1963 in the Maipú province of Mendoza and has a reputation as one of the most innovative premium wine producers in Argentina. The Finca Piedra Infinita range of wines seeks to highlight the unique characteristics of their Paraje Altamira vineyard and are made on a tiny scale.
Supercal and Gravascal are both 100% Malbec produced from a small parcel within Paraje Altamira that has alluvial soil with limestone-covered rocks 60cm below the surface. They are vinified separately but identically to exemplify their distinctive characters, with fermentation in concrete tanks with native yeasts and maturation in used 500-litre barrels. Only 600 bottles of each were produced.
