Principi di Butera is a 320-hectare estate in Caltanissetta, in the heart of Sicily, and has been owned by the Zonin family since 1997. Serò is produced from native Sicilian variety, Insolia (also known as Ansonica in Tuscany), which is typically used in the production of the sweet fortified wines of Marsala. Straw yellow in colour, it has a broad and sophisticated aroma of apricot, pear, wild flowers, white pepper and mineral. On the palate it is fresh, intense and distinctively mineral, with a long, persistent finish.
